Are you looking for an anti-virus software, that is easy to maintain, does not occupy extra space or require lots of memory; or does not slow your computer; does not expire after one year, (in fact, it is free); and you need not update new virus definitions often. It can catch all the past and future computer viruses and malicious programs ..?
It is available now and it is called Ubuntu.
This is what I do now to my pen drive. Insert it into the ubuntu machine, before and after i use it in any windows machine, Clean it and put it in my pocket !!
As Tarsh says, there isn't any 'Computer virus', but only Windows virus. Switch to Ubuntu and forget about viruses.

Calling Linux virii-proof is a sweeping generalisation. When in fact it harbours it's own imperfections that allow it to become infected.
Often taken for granted linux is IMMUNE to all virii made out for Windows in specific.
Just because the Majority of Virii are Windows targeted infections, doesn't mean there are no Linux targeted infections, in fact there are.
The Generalisation you CAN make is that Power Users tend to use Linux, and therefore are not naive enough to let a Virus to slip through their fingers.
Yes, Linux is a beautiful place to be, free of the common cold etc. BUT don't give the people the false conception that for some reason Linux is immune to infection.
Interesting Post regardless. :D
